Sweet Basil is a slightly sweet, herbaceous, spicy essential oil that would make an excellent addition to any of your soaps, scrubs, lotions, body washes, skin treatments and so much more!

Sweet basil essential oil has excellent anti-fungal and antibacterial properties, which means it is an ideal addition to your acne/oily skincare products. Try blending Sweet Basil, Clary Sage and Orange 10X essential oils, into a base of Oregon Hazelnut Oil and Organic Jojoba oil to create a purposeful skin serum. If you want to get even crazier, add in some Olive Oil Squalane, Organic Tamanu Oil, and Organic Sea Buckthorn oil to round out the supreme moisture and wound healing properties.

Sweet Basil essential oil has been touted as having skin rejuvenation properties, including mild exfoliation and brightening effects. This would make our Sweet Basil an excellent addition to a body scrub or brightening lotion. Try a blend of Epsom Salt, Fine Pink Himalayan salt, Sodium Bicarbonate, Foaming Bath Whip, Grape Seed Oil, and some colorful jojoba beads to make a delicious foaming body scrub. Add sweet basil, lemon verbena all-natural fragrance, and lavender for a refreshing spa scent.

Basil essential oil should not be taken internally; topical use only.

Sweet Basil essential oil pairs well with Bergamot, Pink Grapefruit, Lemon, Black Pepper, Ginger Root, Geranium Rose, Lavender, Clary Sage, White Thyme, Rosemary and Dalmatian Sage.
