Himalayan sea salt is rich in minerals that can help detox the body. Our pink Himalayan sea salts are mined directly and not treated or altered in any way. Himalayan sea salts contain 84 key minerals that can be used by your body. You can incorporate pink Himalayan sea salts into your self-care routines in a variety of ways, everything from using them as your seasoning for foods, to taking a salt Sole supplement every day, Neti pot use, body scrubs or as your bath soak.
Using pink Himalayan sea salt in your bath soaks will help to pull toxins out of the body and balance any mineral deficiencies. This can be very helpful if you suffer from muscle cramps or skin issues like acne, psoriasis, eczema, and dry skin. Incorporate about 1-2 cups per full bath in order to get the best benefits. As a note, bath water when soaking to remove toxins should be warm but not hot. Hot baths tend to make you sweat and the way the Himalayan salt works is to penetrate into your skin, pulling the toxins out. If you are sweating your body will not be able to absorb the salt. Try creating different bath soaks by incorporating different essential oil blends. Try just pure lavender for relaxation, or a blend of peppermint and rosemary to help accelerate the detox and balance sebum production, or maybe a blend of orange, bergamot and yang to create a soothing, uplifting citrus blend.
Coarse pink Himalayan sea salt is excellent for baths, Neti pots, and room diffusers. If you are looking to create a salt and essential oil blend that your customers can use in their hot tubs or in pedicure stations, make sure to use the fine grind. Find grind salts will dissolve completely in one sitting but coarse grind salts will not and can cause problems with the tubing over the long-run.
Fine grind pink Himalayan salts also make a great addition to soap bars or body scrubs. These salts will be fine enough to schluff off dead skin without being too coarse and scratching the skin. Try adding a small amount to the bottom of your soap molds before you pour the soap and let it harden.
To make a body scrub, try incorporating a little pink Himalayan a sea salt, organic shea butter, organic mango butter, Oregon hazelnut oil, and some exotics like tamanu oil or monoi oil to make a rich, hydrating body scrub. Add some essential oils like peppermint and pink grapefruit, or cinnamon, orange and ylang.
Coarse pink Himalayan salt can be used in conjunction with fine grind salt in a bath soak, or add it to your Neti pot or diffuser to enhance the mineral content and help to accelerate the detox levels. Coarse pink Himalayan salt also makes a great seasoning for your food. This is one of the best ways to obtain the minerals and gain all the benefits from the salt. You can use coarse sea salt directly in foods, or put into a grinder and use as your table salt.
