I think peppermint essential oil is one of the most well-known, most popular essential oils on the market. Peppermint essential oil is used in everything. Soaps, lotions, foot creams, shampoos, hair treatments, toothpaste, mouthwash, gum, coffee creamer, diffuser blends, skincare products, household cleaners, chocolates, edibles, baked goods…how many more can you name?
100% pure peppermint essential oil is a clear oil, that has a bright, fresh scent. It only takes a small amount of peppermint to your formulations to get a nice, clean scent profile.
Try adding peppermint essential oil to any of these products:
Muscle and Joint Salves/Creams/Rubs- Peppermint essential oil is a natural painkiller and can be used topically through rubs, salves, ointments, scrubs, soaks, oils, creams. Blend a little peppermint essential into your CBD salve, made with a base of our organic jojoba oil and unrefined hemp seed oil. Or create a bath soak blend with peppermint, lavender and warm vanilla sugar fragrance to help relax tired and sore muscles.
Diffuser blends- Yes, please! If you’ve ever come by our office you have most likely smelled some diffuser blend with peppermint in it. I like to do a blend of peppermint, cedarwood and rosemary to create a warm, clean, fresh scent. Peppermint essential oil, when inhaled, is said to help clear sinuses, and help to relieve dry, scratchy throats. It can also be beneficial as a diffuser blend when someone is starting to get a cold or flu. Peppermint essential oil is both an expectorant (so it clears up mucus) and an antimicrobial (so it kills cold and flu bugs). Try a blend of peppermint, eucalyptus and lime for a bright, cold-fighting blend.
Roller Ball Oils- my kids love making these. We have about a million with a million different blends, but I would say at least 75% of them have peppermint. You can create a roller blend using fractionated coconut oil, glycerin, jojoba oil and an essential oil blend. Apply to the back of the neck, inside of wrists, temples, bottom of feet, or just inhale the scent to get all the benefits of pain relief, sinuses opening, and increased energy.
Anti-nausea treatments- peppermint essential oil is one of the fastest ways to soothe an upset tummy. Peppermint essential oil can be taken internally or applied topically to help reduce feelings of nausea.
100% pure peppermint oil is sold in 0.5-ounce amber glass, 1-ounce amber glass with dropper, 4-ounce amber glass, 8-ounce amber glass, 16-ounce amber glass, 5-pound and 10-pound sizes. For wholesale bulk peppermint essential oil orders of 25-pounds or larger, please email us at orders@shayandcompany.com.
Do not apply directly to skin. Most essential oils are not designed to be applied directly, rather they are designed to be mixed with a carrier oil such as our organic sunflower or organic jojoba oils. Always perform a small patch test when applying to skin.
Do not take internally unless you are licensed to apply them as such.
