It is important to us that all of our ingredients and bases meet a strict standard of quality and sourcing. Our Aloe Gel Base is made with Organic Aloe and a very natural preservative system.

Aloe Gel bases have gotten a lot of misrepresentation over the years. Many Aloe Gels are sold as “pure aloe”, but unless you physically scrape the gel off your own aloe plant, there is no Aloe Gel Base that is “pure aloe gel”.  Aloe Gels are made using dried aloe powder extract, reconstituting it with deionized water, then a thickener and preservative is added. That is the only way to create a shelf-stable aloe gel. In order to have the highest quality organic Aloe Vera Gel base for you, we selected one with the least amount of ingredients and the highest quality manufacturing.

Aloe Gel bases are excellent mediums for serums, exfoliating body scrubs, lotions and more. You can add ingredients directly to this Aloe Gel base or you can add the Aloe Gel to your formula. For example, you could add a small amount (up to 10%) of an oil like Grape Seed Oil, Oregon Hazelnut, or Organic Jojoba Oil, then add in exfoliants like Jojoba Beads, to create a hydrating facial scrub. Or you can add Aloe Gel to your body creams or lotions to add the hydration properties of Organic Aloe.

Our  Aloe Vera Gel base is an excellent base to create a facial serum. Use this with higher concentrations of potent facial oils, like Organic Rosehip, Organic Black Seed, Organic Pomegranate, Cold Processed Red Raspberry Seed Oil, Organic Camellia, Daikon Seed Extract, Meadowfoam Seed Oil, Organic Moringa, Organic Cold Processed Broccoli Seed Oil, etc. Add in 5% Olive Oil Squalane. Then do a powerful essential oil blend (think Blue Tansy, Turmeric, Frankincense Carterii, Clary Sage, Helichrysum, Manuka, Magnolia, Rose….so many!) and custom create a facial serum line.

Due to the natural nature of the thickener (Xanthan and Sclerotium Gums), this Aloe Gel base is cloudy. When you add oils to it, it will turn milky or the color of the natural oils, depending on their coloring. This is the beauty of natural products! Plants have colors and products with plants should also have colors!

The organic aloe that is used in this formula is a morning harvested aloe and is not part of the California Prop 65 aloe.
