Organic Yarrow dried herb has a lovely, clean, herbal aroma. Our wholesale organic yarrow can be used as a dried herb in your formulations, or you can use it to make your own extracted oil or tinctures.
We do also carry Organic Yarrow Oil, which is this herb extracted into our US grown Organic Sunflower Oil.
Yarrow extract can be used in a variety of skincare and hair care products. Organic Yarrow is said to have astringent properties when used in skincare products. This is an excellent attribute to have when formulating your facial line. If you want to make your own extracted oil, using Organic Yarrow in our Oregon-grown Hazelnut would double up your astringent properties! Hazelnut oil is considered an astringent-oil, meaning it helps tighten the pores without leaving them feeling heavy or oily. You could also use our Organic Witch Hazel to do an extraction and really ramp up that skin tightening.
Facial steaming products are becoming very popular and these dried organic yarrow flowers would make a great facial steamer. If you haven’t seen them, facial steaming products are dried ingredients that a customer sprinkles into hot, steamy water in a bowl. Then they place their face directly over the bowl and allow their skin and face to absorb the fragrant steam. Oftentimes it is recommended to put a towel draped over the back of the head to keep the steam from escaping. Adding ingredients such as Organic Yarrow, Wildcrafted Arnica, Organic Calendula, Organic Lavender Buds, Organic Comfrey, and Organic Aloe would make a powerful herbal blend. Other ingredients that are great to add are fresh lemons, some salt such as our Fine Dead Sea Salt, Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate), Citric Acid, then essential oils with facial care properties such as Frankincense Carterii, Helichrysum, Egyptian Geranium, Organic Lavender, Roman Chamomile, Clary Sage, Holy Basil, Manuka….you get the idea. If you’re creating a dry facial steam product, you will add your liquid products (essential oils, carrier oils) to the salts, then add the pre-scented salts to your other dry ingredients. Don’t try to scent the dried herbs; those smell lovely just on their own.
Organic Yarrow extract has also been used in wound healing treatments due to its natural anti-inflammatory and soothing effects. This means organic yarrow is great for treatments focusing on eczema, rosacea, acne, sunburns, bug bites, and stressed skin.
Organic Yarrow is also excellent for the hair! If you’re branching out into shampoo and conditioner bars, make sure you add Organic Yarrow to your formulas. If you purchase the dried herbs you will need to extract it first, otherwise you can purchase the pre-extracted Organic Yarrow Oil Extract.

Hair and Scalp Mask- these are becoming very popular as people are more and more aware of the buildup that can happen from products used on our hair. Incorporating a Hair and Scalp Mask into your line is simple! Your base is bentonite clay, then you add your oil cleansers such as yarrow oil extract, organic black seed oil, organic moringa oil, organic babassu oil, organic argan oil and organic castor oil. All of these are 100% pure oils so when you mix these with the bentonite clay, you do not have to use a preservative. If you add water, a hydrosol or organic witch hazel, you will have to add a preservative or your mask will soon be green. You can use any of our preservatives for this, but the Potassium Sorbate and Sodium Benzoate would be perfect. All natural, easy on the skin and easy to use. To finish off your mask, add in some power-packed hair essential oils like juniper, myrrh, rosemary, cypress and frankincense. If you want an exfoliant, you can use our cosmetic grind pumice or one of our bio-degradable, all-natural jojoba beads.
You can also use this organic yarrow to create your own tinctures. Tinctures can be made using a variety of bases, such as organic witch hazel, glycerin or an organic carrier oil. We have a pre-made Yarrow Oil Extract for you made with our Organic USA grown Sunflower Oil.
Organic Yarrow Herb is sold in ½-pound biodegradable bags, 1-pound biodegradable bags, 5-pound biodegradable bags, 25-pound, and 50-pound sizes. Any orders larger than 500-pounds please email us for pricing.
