LuxeMuls RSPO is a very easy to use self emulsifier to create luxury creams, lotions, conditioners and cosmetics with high levels of moisture. Unlike other traditional emulsifiers, which can be harder and more drying in the finished product, LuxeMuls improves moisture retention on the skin. LuxeMuls RSPO is an excellent emulsifier for beginning formulators to play with as it is very stable.
Why chose LuxMuls RSPO over any of the other emulsifiers Shay sells?
If you have used RitaMuls in the past, this is the emulsifier you want to pick at Shay and Company.
If you are looking to create a silkier, smoother, more refined finished product that is part of a luxury hair or skincare line, LuxeMuls is incredibly easy to use, leaves the skin feeling more moisturized and makes very stable products. The ingredients are simple and effective.
The biggest difference maker is really the improved creaminess and reduced drag using LuxeMuls over something like traditional emulsifying wax.
What kind of texture does LuxeMuls RSPO make?
If you are looking for a silkier, softer, smoother finished formula, LuxeMuls is the ideal emulsifier. It is easier to use than traditional emulsifiers and has a lovely, high fatty acid content, creating a more healing environment on the skin.
LuxeMuls makes it easy to create luxury finish creams, lotions, serums and conditioners specifically due to the silkier skin-feel and the higher moisturization properties.
What products can I make using LuxeMuls RSPO wax?
- Any type of emulsified lotion or cream
- Sun Care and After Sun products-LuxeMuls is excellent for natural sun protection products using Zinc Oxide. Zinc can be very pasty and drying; using LuxeMuls as the emulsifier helps enhance the oils and butters used in the formula, reducing the drying effect of the zinc
- Baby care products- back to the zinc, think diaper creams with great glide and skin softness
- Emulsified facial serums
- Shaving creams
- Hair conditioner
- Leave-in hair products
- Color cosmetics
- Foundations
- Eye Creams
- Facial Moisturizers
- Hand Creams
What other thickeners and emulsifiers can I use with LuxeMuls RSPO?
You can get fancy with your textures but combining different functional waxes, such as cetyl alcohol, cetearyl alcohol, stearic acid, laurel wax, jojoba esters, or OliveM 1000 into your formula. Each of these will add different characteristics to your formula so you can really create a specialized product.
- Cetyl alcohol will add a high level of fatty acids, boosting the moisturizing properties of your product.
- Cetearyl Alcohol (also called Cetyl Stearyl) helps improve the final texture, creating a very stable end formulas
- Stearic acid is a high fatty acid and gives your product a seriously rich feel
- Laurel wax is ideal for luxury skincare formulas, giving products a glossy, creamy texture with incredible skin softening attributes. You can use just a little laurel wax and get a texture unlike with any other emulsifier.
- Jojoba esters is a great thickener to use in lip care and skincare formulas, really lending more strength to your lotion or balm.
- OliveM1000– everyone’s favorite self-emulsifier, this can be blended with LuxeMuls to prevent some of that “soapy” feeling you can get when trying to make a very thick cream with OliveM 1000.
How to use LuxeMuls RSPO in my formula?
You will add melted LuxeMuls RSPO into the oil phase of your formula.
You can melt with the other oils and butters.
The melt point of LueMuls is 132-141°F but you really want to heat to about 10 degrees hotter to fully melt then mix fully before adding to other phases.
You can mix with a paddle mixer or with a high speed mixer. Either system will work.
Be sure any water portion of the formula is also heated to the same temperature as the oils once blended. This will prevent clumping, will encourage smooth emulsification, and be more stable for any preservative system.
LuxeMuls RSPO is sold in ½-pound biodegradable bags, 1-pound bio-degradable bags, 5-pound bio-degradable bags, 25-pound bags, and 44-pound sizes.
Short Term Storage: Air tight container. Dark location. Cool room temperature.
