Palm fruit oil has come under a lot of scrutiny over the last few years. Deforestation issues and the destruction of animal habitats have been brought to light and it is our job as consumers to maintain the highest integrity in the products we sell and use. We here at Shay and Company only provide RSPO Palm Oils (palm shortening, palm kernel flakes, conventional palm fruit oil, and organic palm fruit oil). The specific harvesting company we work with for our palm has a documented Environmental Policy and a Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability contract, ensuring the highest quality sources for all their ingredients, including our palm oil.

Palm kernel oil flakes are all the hydrating benefits of palm oil but in a much more temperature-stable form. These are ideal for use in candles, soap bars, lotions, heavy creams, and liquid soaps. You can replace your palm oil with palm kernel flakes as they are easy to handle. Use up to 15% in your soap formulas.

Palm oil is an excellent emollient and blending oil for cosmetics and personal care products. You can even use our palm oil shortening flakes for cooking and baking. Palm oil can be used in soaps and lotions alike and will impart a smooth skin feel and excellent hydration on the skin.

Palm kernel oil flakes are sold in 1-pound biodegradable bags, 5-pound bags, 25-pound bags, and 50-pound boxes. Please email us for multiple pallet orders.

Short-Term Storage: Air-tight container. Dark location. Cool room temperature.

Long-Term Storage: Removing air from the storage container will delay oxidation and rancidity (you may need to place it in a smaller container). Refrigeration can extend shelf life.
