Green Coffee Bean Oil can be used in both skincare and hair care formulations to help increase cell turnover, increase hydration in skin and hair, help to boost natural cell turnover, and to help boost effectiveness of other ingredients.
Green Coffee Seed Oil is a lovely light green oil with very little aroma. This is not roasted coffee oil, so this does not smell like a cup of coffee. Rather this oil smells green and clean. Green Coffee Seed Oil can be used on its own directly on hair and skin, or it can be mixed into a formula. Green Coffee Bean Oil is lightweight and does not leave the hair or skin feeling heavy and oily. If you want your finished product to have the lovely roasted coffee aroma you can use our Coffee Essential Oil. It smells amazing and will also impart some of the coffee benefits into your final product.
Since the coffee beans used in this oil have not undergone the heating and roasting properties, this oil has higher levels of fatty acids, vitamins, flavonoids, and antioxidants than roasted coffee oil. Anytime you can use an oil that is cold pressed and not heated, you will always reap more skin and hair benefits.
Green Coffee Seed Oil does have some caffeine in the oil. Coffee beans do have caffeine in them, but after being cold pressed the amount of caffeine in the finished oil is much less. Your skin and hair still get the benefits of the caffeine (things like increasing blood flow, cell turnover, shinier hair, cleansed scalp) but there isn’t enough that this will keep you up at night.
These same stimulant effects make it a great skin and eye ingredient. If you are creating a full facial system and want to include an eye treatment to help decrease appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, help to decrease puffiness and bags, and to help boost natural collagen production, Green Coffee Bean Oil will do all of that. You could mix this in with some Buriti Oil, Daikon Seed Extract, Olive Oil Squalene, Amla Oil and Cupuacu butter and have literally the most luxurious eye cream ever! Plus, you’ll have the natural retinol from the Buriti Oil and the stimulant from the Green Coffee Bean Oil.
Green Coffee Bean Oil, in addition to working as a stimulant, is also high in Linolenic Acid (increases moisture in skin, helps promote new cell growth), Palmitic Acid (anti-inflammatory, excellent emollient, sebum control), Oleic Acid (soothing, promotes skin repair, antioxidant), and Stearic Acid (soothing, emulsifying, stabilizer). When used on the hair, these acids help to make the hair shinier and healthier and can help cleanse the scalp to encourage new hair growth. You can incorporate Green Coffee Bean Oil into your shampoo and conditioner bars.
Green Coffee Oil has been so renowned for its benefits for hair that you can bottle this up as is and sell just for hair use. Green Coffee Oil is said to make hair super shiny and smooth. You can simply use a few drops in your fingertips to smooth over the hair, or you can create a scalp formula incorporating power hair ingredients like Organic Amla Oil, Organic Broccoli Seed Oil, Organic Black Seed Oil, Organic Castor Oil, Organic Argan Oil, Organic Moringa Oil, Rice Bran Oil and Organic Yarrow Oil. These all have amazing hair and scalp benefits. Include essential oils such as Frankincense Carterii and Laurel Leaf to boost the power. Rub into your scalp at night, then wash in the morning. Your hair will be soft and smooth, and your scalp will be cleansed and refreshed.
Green Coffee Bean Oil has naturally high levels of chlorogenic acid (CGA). This is also sometimes referred to as Caffeic Acid. This is a super antioxidant with massive doses of phytosterols and plant fatty acids, which help to boost moisture retention and help to increase penetration of other key ingredients. Some studies say that Green Coffee Oil can have similar effects on the skin as hyaluronic acid; increasing collagen and elastin, and making the skin appear firmer.
We also have ground Green Coffee Bean Exfoliant! You can use the exfoliant to give the same stimulant effects as the Green Coffee Oil while also exfoliating the skin.
