Bergamot Mint essential oil is in the mint family. Bergamot Mint has a lovely light fruity, herbaceous aroma. Bergamot Mint can be applied topically, can be used in aromatherapy products, and it can be used in candles. Bergamot Mint is not a citrus essential oil so it does not have sun sensitivity issues.

Don’t let the name fool you! Bergamot Mint is not just bergamot and mint blended. This is its own plant and its own scent. Bergamot Mint will be one of those complimentary essential oils that can be added to hair care products (think bergamot mint, rosemary and peppermint shampoo), massage oils, salves, candles, body lotions, facial creams and more.

Bergamot Mint has a very calming effect, so incorporating it into diffuser blends, bath soaps, and bedtime rituals is great. Bergamot Mint helps to calm and reduce stimulation, creating a more relaxed and calm feeling rather than a sleepy feeling. It is a great essential oil to diffuse or to include in bathing soaks. You could do a blend of our Epsom salts and magnesium bath flakes (the best way to get absorbable magnesium), with an essential oil blend of Bergamot Mint, Clary Sage and Ylang.

Bergamot Mint is often used in skincare products as it has a calming, smoothing, softening and anti-inflammatory on the skin.

When used in hair care products, Bergamot Mint can naturally help to thicken and hydrate damaged hair. It also helps stimulate the scalp making it a great addition to haircare products targeting thinning hair. Try creating a scalp spray using our Tulsi Hydrolat, BiEau® Actif Tri-Mushroom Extract, Watercress Extract, and an essential oil blend of Rosemary, Bergamot Mint and Juniper to help stimulate hair growth.
