BiEau® Actif Tri-Mushroom is sustainably sourced from the water held within three mushroom varieties: Ganoderma Lucidum, Inonotus Obliquus, and Cordyceps Sinensis. The extract is designed to create an isotonic environment on the skin, which helps to reduce inflammation and encourages anti-oxidant protection. These three mushrooms are commonly used in skincare applications to help optimize skin health, and are all three excellent sources of glutamine.

Mushrooms are approximately 90% water and are able to absorb and hold water from their surroundings. This internal cellular water typically resides in the vacuoles, cytoplasm, and cell walls of the mushrooms and contains an abundance of biologically active components. The finished extract utilized solar energy to effectively evaporate and isolate the nutrient-rich water of Ganoderma lucidum and Inonotus obliquus and Cordyceps sinensis to produce a bioactive cellular water capable of promoting antioxidant protection and anti-inflammatory properties.

One benefit of BiEau® Actif Tri-Mushroom in your skincare formulations is the isotonic environment that it creates on the skin. Isotonic environments create an environment most beneficial and least disruptive to the skin, and it allows for a natural affinity with your finished formula due to the cohesive mineral content in BiEau® Actif Tri-Mushroom.  This creates a more suitable environment for the skin to receive the actives in your formula and allows for more homeostasis when the product is applied.

Glutamine is an amino acid that, when applied topically, can help to heal and hydrate you skin, boost natural cellular production, and protect from environmental damage. The NIH has shown that applying glutamine topically has proven to stimulate the synthesis of collagen in human fibroblasts.

Glutamine application in hair care formulas has also been shown by the NIH to be an excellent energy source for hair follicles. Incorporating BiEau® Actif Tri-Mushroom into your scalp and hair formulas can help to boost hair follicle neogenic signals.

BiEau® Actif Tri-Mushroom has been tested and proven to be highly effective in skincare applications. There are reports attached under the Documents tab, but here are some brief descriptions of the testing results by the manufacturer:

• BiEau® Actif Tri-Mushroom exhibited anti-inflammatory effects on LPS-treated fibroblasts. This decrease in IL-6 production indicates a reduced inflammatory environment which could decrease the signs of aging and reduce the formation of fine lines and wrinkles. It can therefore be concluded that at normal use concentrations BiEau® Actif Tri-Mushroom enhances soothing and anti-aging properties.
• BiEau® Actif Tri-Mushroom exhibited greater antioxidant activity than 200μM Trolox®. The antioxidant capacity of BiEau® Actif Tri-Mushroom increased as the concentration increased, as a result we can assure that its ability to minimize oxidative stress is dose dependent. It can therefore be concluded that BiEau® Actif Tri-Mushroom is capable of providing antioxidant properties and aids in the anti-aging process through protection at the cellular level.
