Litsea essential oil is a perfect blend of citrus and evergreen. Litsea Cubeba is an evergreen shrub found in Southern Asia. It has lemon/citrus scented leaves and flowers, hence the beautiful citrus notes of litsea essential oil. Litsea essential oil smells similar to lemongrass essential oil, but is sweeter.

Litsea essential oil has a high level of phytonutrients, which lends to its strong anti-bacterial properties. Litsea is an excellent addition to home cleaning solutions, counter sprays, laundry detergents, toilet sprays, and body cleansers. It also makes an excellent addition to anti acne skincare products and soap bars.

Litsea essential oil is also said to help relieve muscle and joint discomfort. Try adding litsea to your salve or bath soaks to help boost the anti-inflammation benefits.

Litsea essential oil also helps to brighten the complexion, so it makes a great addition to any face polish, facial oil, or brightening cream. Try blending with Daikon Radish seed oil, Organic Sea Buckthorn Oil, Organic Evening Primrose Oil, Olive Oil Squalane, and a blend of bergamot essential oil, litsea, frankincense essential oil and rose essential oils to create a vitamin c rich, brightening facial oil serum.  Litsea can also be used in hair serums to help increase brilliance and shine.

Looking to make an acne soap bar? How about using a blend of turmeric essential oil, black pepper essential oil, and litsea essential oil, along our Oregon hazelnut oil and organic jojoba oil!
