Organic arrowroot is utilized for skincare formulas both as an absorbent and to create a silky texture to oil based products. Arrowroot is different than Tapioca Starch in its origin but is often sold under the same name. Arrowroot is derived from the dried roots of the arrowroot plant (either East Indian Arrowroot Curcuma Angustifolia or West Indian Arrowroot Maranta Arudinacea), whereas Tapioca Starch is derived from cassava root.

Organic arrowroot is high in natural vitamins and minerals such as B6, zinc, and potassium. This makes it useful for skin healing products, such as wound salves and treatments. This also makes it an excellent ingredient when making natural diaper rash creams.

• Suggested Use is 1-5%
• You can blend with another oil or water before adding to prevent any clumping.

Natural Deodorants- incorporating in your deodorants creates great skinfeel during application and helps to reduce oil and sweat.

• Combine with any other powders
• Suggested use is 10-30%
• Reduces reactivity to baking soda on skin

Dry Shampoos- using organic arrowroot in dry shampoos is another great way to absorb sebum without leaving skin irritated.

• Blend with other clays, like our Fullers Earth clay
• To add scent you will need to spray on your essential oils or fragrance with a fine mist sprayer, then sift the clays together. This will allow the scent to touch all the clays without clumping
