Cassia essential oil is a spicy, earthy, and sweet version of cinnamon essential oil. Cassia is derived from the cassia tree that grows in Asia. In the US, cassia is the most common type of cinnamon used. It is close to cinnamon bark, although not the same, but cassia essential oil is much more affordable that cinnamon bark and gives you the same punch!
Herbs like cassia, cinnamon, cardamom, frankincense, myrrh and nutmeg all work synergistically with your ingredients to help warm the skin, increase blood flow, boost the immune system, and cleanse the lymph system. Body scrubs, salt bars, lotion bars, foot rubs made with these essential oils can have such a fantastic effect on the skin and mind! I absolutely love our Warming Blend of Willamette valley peppermint, cassia, nutmeg, frankincense and pink grapefruit! Such a beautiful scent for shower steamers, body massage oils, scalp treatments and more.
Do you have a CBD/THC/or medicated treatment product? Cassia essential oil has been shown not only to help boost circulation, but also helps trigger anti-inflammatory responses in arthritic patients. Try incorporating cassia with your menthol and camphor into your creams, salves, and lotions.
Cassia essential oil has been said to help boost mood and relieve feelings of depression when inhaled. This makes cassia essential oil an excellent addition to your diffuser blends.
Cassia essential oil also has been said to be an effect bacteria fighter! This applies to both household bacteria and skin related bacteria. Cassia essential oil would be a great addition to your household spray cleaner, using a base such as water and isopropyl alcohol, blended with an essential oil blend of cassia, lemon, and sweet orange! Yum, that would be a great after shower spray. Cassia’s antibacterial effects also work great on the skin. Neither cinnamon nor cassia should be used in large quantities for skincare products, but even at small amounts they are super effective in fighting acne.
Get this, cassia essential oil is also said to help repel mosquitos! Who knew?!?! Add this one to a blend of lemongrass, litsea and juniper and that would smell amazing. All those essential oils would also work well in a candle!
Cassia essential oil blends well with clove bud, clove leaf, cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, lavender, lemon, orange, blood orange, ylang, frankincense, juniper, cypress, fir, palmarosa, and litsea.
Essential oils are sold in 0.5-ounce amber glass, 1-ounce amber glass with dropper, 4-ounce amber glass, 8-ounce amber glass, 16-ounce amber glass, 5-pound and 10-pound sizes. For 25-pounds or larger, please email us at orders@shayandcompany.com.
