I have lived most of my life in the PNW so I am very familiar with the rhododendron plant. Most of could recognize the flowers anywhere; never did I guess that the essential oil would smell so great! Rhododendron Anthopogon, though, is not from the flowers grown in the US. The EO is extracted from a specific genus grown in southeast Asia and northern Australia.Rhododendron has a fabulous herb base, with hints of wet dirt, deep flowers and a little spice. The floral aspect is subtle, just a little green floral in there.Rhododendron essential oil has historically been used in spiritual practices and to help promote inner balance and sooth digestive issues. The leaves of this specific rhododendron genus are often made into a tea. An excellent relaxation blend would be rhododendron, palo santoholy basil and organic Oregon lavender. The analgesic and sore muscle relief properties of rhododendron essential oil would make it an excellent addition to your CBD salves, creams and bath bombs! Try diffusing your CBD into our Shea Cream Base, then using a blend of menthol, rhododendron and myrrh to create a powerful, soothing muscle rub. For bath soaks/bombs we have all the supplies you need, including pure magnesium flakes for boosted absorbable magnesium, organic witch hazel, and organic babassu oil (an excellent emollient!). I would not suggest adding menthol to your bath bomb base so try a blend of rhododendron, rose and clary sage for a soothing blend.Rhododendron essential oil blends well with lavenderclary sagedalmatian sagepinejunipercypresscedarwood, and rose.Essential oils are sold in 0.5 ounce, 1 ounce, 4 ounce, 8 ounce, 16 ounce, 5 pound and 10 pound sizes.Do not apply directly to skin. Most essential oils are not designed to be applied directly, rather they are designed to be mixed with a carrier oil such as our organic sunflower or organic jojoba oils. Always perform a small patch test when applying to skin.Do not take internally unless you are licensed to apply them as such.
