Yes Refined/bleached/deodorized? No IBT 50 is the Shay and Company version of BTMS 50. This is a blend of Cetearyl Alcohol and Behentrimonium Methosulfate, active at 50%. IBT 50 is used as a conditioning emulsifier. You can use this as an emulsifier (blending oil and water bases) and a conditioning agent in shampoo and conditioner bars. Products made with IBT 50 leave a softening, conditioning feel on skin and hair when the product is rinsed off. IBT can be used in conditioning bases to emulsify silicones and as a suspending ingredient. You can also use it alongside our emulsifying wax. IBT 50 can be used in hair care formulations as an emulsifier, conditioning agent, and frizz reducer. It can be used in shampoo and conditioner bars, liquid shampoo and conditioners, creams and lotions. IBT50 is derived from RSPO palm and rapeseed plants. The palm used is RSPO. The countries of origin for those ingredients are Malaysia, Indonesia and Europe. The finished product is manufactured here in the US. IBT 50 is sold in 1-pound, 5-pound and 55-pound sizes.
