All the power of a mustard seed, right? This Cold Pressed Mustard Oil is one of the most powerful plant oils out there for hair care products. This oil is a rich amber color with all the strength of mustard, so this should be used in small percentages in your formulas. Cold Processed Mustard Seed Oil is rich in omega 9 and omega 3 fatty acids, making it a strong anti-inflammatory for both skin and hair.
Cold Pressed Mustard Seed Oil has been used for centuries in traditional Indian hair care remedies. It is said to help boost hair growth and prevent dandruff. Mustard Seed Oil is said to also be an excellent conditioning agent.
Mustard Seed Oil’s main fatty acid is Eurcic Acid (Omega 9 fatty acid). Eurcic functions as a great barrier for transdermal water loss. This holds moisture into the skin and hair, making Mustard Seed Oil an excellent addition for products targeting dry skin, eczema and psoriasis.
Mustard Seed Oil does have a mustard aroma to it so when you’re formulating with it you will need to coordinate your aromas to blend with mustard. This oil should be used in small percentages, so it won’t totally disrupt your scent blend, but it can contribute to it. Mustard Seed Oil is a warming oil, so this will help stimulate blood flow.
Cold Pressed Virgin Mustard Seed Oil is sold in 4-ounce amber glass, 8-ounce amber glass, 16-ounce amber glass, BPA-free half-gallon, BPA-free 1- gallon, BPA-free 5-gallon sizes and 55+gallon sizes. Please email us directly for 55-gallon+ orders.
