Cistus Absolute is a lovely smelling essential oil! It isn’t floral and it isn’t citrus, it is a warm, amber-like aroma with floral and citrus notes. Cistus is used both topically in skin and hair treatments, and through aromatherapy.

Citus Absolute has been shown to help repair and renew skin. It can help reduce the appearance of blemishes, acne scars and stretch marks. Cistus naturally has high levels of antioxidants, making it great to help combat environmental damage. Products with Cistus Essential Oil can help to leave skin smoother.

Cistus Absolute is often used in the production of fragrance blends and perfumes. Cistus gives a good base tone, depth and complexity to scent blends. It also helps as a fixative in perfume/scent blends, stabilizing the blend.

Aromatherapy benefits of Cistus all center around the balancing and grounding effect. It is said to help reduce symptoms of stress and anxiety. It can also be used to help emotional healing and self-reflection. So much so that it is said to help individuals deal with past emotional traumas!
