Ginger Root essential oil is a spicy, warm scent that is a great addition to any fall product or any healing salve or oil. Ginger has high levels of warming and can enhance a scent blend but is generally not used just on its own. Think of mixing sweet orange, coffee and ginger, or doing a blend of ginger and lime.

Ginger root used in hair care products can help stimulate blood flow to the scalp when applied topically. Increased blood flow can help improve cleanliness of scalp and help improve healthiness of new hair growth. Try blending ginger root, cinnamon left and clove into a blend of fractionated coconut oil and hazelnut oil to create a scalp and hair tonic.

Ginger also works great in anti-cellulite products. Because of the stimulating and warming properties of ginger you can incorporate this into a body massage oil or cream and apply daily to boost circulation. Try adding ginger, star anise, and menthol to our shea butter cream base to make an excellent anti-cellulite cream, or add to a blend of grapeseed oil and hazelnut oil to make a warming circulatory massage oil.

Ginger root essential oil also makes a great addition to any essential oil diffuser blend. Ginger should be the smaller component of any blend used as the smell is stronger than other essential oils. When diffused, ginger can help relieve feelings of anxiety and nausea. Try a blend of sweet orange essential oil with a hint of ginger. This will boost the overall mood of your room and impart a sense of calm.
