We are excited to now offer the multifaceted Blue Tansy essential oil. Despite its blue color, Blue Tansy is extracted from the yellow North African Moroccan chamomile flower from a steam distillation process. The terpenes in the leaves and stem of the flower turn the oil it’s vibrant, cobalt blue tint. Due to its blue color and its potential to stain skin and other surfaces, it is recommended that Blue Tansy be used sparingly. With Blue Tansy’s sweet, citrus fragrance, aromatherapy, anti-inflammatory, anti-histamine, anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial properties, it is a fantastic addition to an immense array of products.
Blue Tansy oil is deadly for bacteria, viruses, and fungus alike. It is a strong warrior for protection against infections and helps boost immunity to foreign invaders. The thujone and camphor content are toxic for their spores and inhibits their multiplication.
Along with keeping microscopic critters away, Blue Tansy is also an excellent insecticide. It’s pungent aroma and poisonous nature helps keep common household insects like mosquitoes, fleas, ticks, and lice at bay – making Blue Tansy a great additive to any insect repellent.

Or try creating a wound salve using organic coconut oil, organic castor oil, organic beeswax, Oregon hazelnut oil, organic tamanu oil, blended with a little blue tansy and 10x sweet orange essential oil.
Do not apply directly to skin. Most essential oils are not designed to be applied directly, rather they are designed to be mixed with a carrier oil such as our organic sunflower or organic jojoba oils. Always perform a small patch test when applying to skin.
