Vetiver essential oil is a medium dark vetiver, with a rich smell similar to patchouli but with more of a citrus note. Vetiver is a great essential oil to create a masculine blend. I run a blend of lime essential oil and vetiver essential oils in our office diffuser and it is quite popular. When you use vetiver, unless you want that strong base note, you will use it as an accent essential oil and not the primary blend. Vetiver blends well with oils such as lemon essential oil, organic lemongrass essential oil, lime essential, and lavender essential oil.
Vetiver essential oil is an excellent oil to blend into a perfume or deodorant blend. The herbaceous scent helps give good boost to a perfume blend and can bring out spicy accent notes.
The use of vetiver in blends can help reduce anger, hysteria, reduce tension and lower stress levels.
Other benefits of incorporating vetiver essential oil into your skincare products are:
Helps relieve insomnia
Helps encourage reduction in stretch marks and scars
Antiseptic properties
Reduces inflammation (eczema, psoriasis, acne)
Helps promote wound healing
Aromatherapy use can help to reduce anxiety, depression, ADHD
Essential oils are sold in 1-ounce amber glass bottles, 4-ounce amber glass bottles, 8-ounce amber glass bottles, 16-ounce amber glass bottles, 5-pound, 10-pound, and 25-pound sizes. 25 pound sizes may have a later ship date depending on stock on hand.
