We have a variety of melt and pour soap bases starting in 2 pound sizes.

You can find all the extra moisture-adding soap making ingredients like shea, mango, or cocoa butter under the Butters Category.

We have four different kinds of coconut oils and two versions of RSPO palm for your soap formulas. If you’re looking to create a palm-free soap bar, we offer organic Babassu oil, which is an ideal alternative to palm oil! We also offer a supreme pomace olive oil for soap making.

You can find all the extra moisture-adding goodies such as shea, mango, or cocoa butter under the Butters Category.

All our fragrances are designed to be used in soaps without accelerating them, but we do not guarantee they won’t affect your batches a little. We do our best, but no one is perfect. Each fragrance listing will give you the top, middle and low notes, along with full information about what is and isn’t in each of our fragrances, including the percentage of vanillan and the color of the oil. We have IFRA’s attached for each, also.

What is the difference between an essential oil and a fragrance? Fragrances are re-creations of scents, they are not single note essential oils. This means that our perfumist has gathered together natural ingredients and synthetic ingredients to re-create a smell, such as “Sea Shore” or “Tobacco Bay”. These are not “natural” plant smells that you can find in nature; these are scent profiles that have been created through the blending of different ingredients. All fragrances sold by Shay and Company are clean; they do not contain any phthalates or parabens; they are designed specifically to be used in soap, candles and skincare. We do offer a variety of 100% natural fragrances and those are notated as such in their listings.

We have an extensive list of essential oils that can be used with any of your soap making supplies. Each listing will give you the flash point, the plant part used, extraction method and the IFRA if one is available from the distiller.

Essential oils are pure plants that have been steam distilled or cold processed. All our essential oils are 100% pure, therapeutic grade, and never blended with any carrier oils, preservatives, phthalates, or synthetics.

Please note that we are not master soap makers here and cannot guide you on how to manufacture soap, nor the FDA requirements for labeling them. We only provide soap making supplies and ingredients.
