Tamanu oil is a bright green, rich, heavy, tropical oil that has been used for generations by Pacific Islander in healing salves and ointments. Tamanu oil is rich in natural anti-oxidants and polyphenols. Tamanu oil has been studied in its capabilities to regenerate skin, increasing the growth of healthy skin and boosting wound healing.
Organic Tamanu Oil is one of my favorite oils to incorporate in your luxury skincare line. This ingredient has been widely used in Polynesian cultures for centuries due to its naturally high content of calophyllic and calophyllolide fatty acids. These fatty acids are only found in tamanu oil and they are key in stimulating cell regeneration, reducing inflammation, and increasing moisture retention. This makes organic tamanu oil and excellent addition to any skincare line targeting wound healing and aging skin.
If you’re creating a line to target free radical damage, consider incorporating organic tamanu oil. Its naturally high polyphenol content makes it ideal for aging skincare line. In addition to fighting fine lines and wrinkles, it also helps combat sun damage and is a strong emollient, increasing the moisture on the skin.
Traditionally tamanu oil has been used in formulations to help with:
Acne
Wrinkles
Blisters
Burns
Diabetic sores
Diaper rash
Dry skin
Eczema
Bug bites and stings
Psoriasis
Sunburns
