Pamplemousse All Natural Fragrance
Shay and Company is proud to present a small selection of clean and non-toxic fragrances for soap, candles and skincare. All our fragrances are suitable for natural skincare products, cold process soap making, bath bombs, tarts, body care products, and candle making. We understand the value of having non-toxic fragrance options other than essential oils, so we have worked hard to create a line of high-quality, cleanly-made, natural fragrances for candles, soaps, and other products for our customers.
Please see our Ethical Fragrance Page for more information about our clean beauty fragrance standards.
Note on fragrance names- There is no regulation on fragrance names with the FDA, and fragrance names do not represent any specific ingredient like essential oils do. You can call any fragrance whatever name you want to call it, so get imaginative with your fragrance names!
What is a pamplemousse you ask? A giant grapefruit. Did you know they can grow up to 1 foot in diameter? Now that’s a grapefruit. This all natural Pamplemousse fragrance is more than just another grapefruit scent. This one is sweeter, softer, with floral blossom notes and a lovely base of musk and sandalwood. Our all natural Pamplemousse fragrance can be elevated into high end soaps and candles, it can be a refreshing addition to a hair care line, or it can be a lovely way to accentuate a home cleaning product.
Pamplemousse would blend well with Pink Grapefruit Champagne to give it a little more bubbly punch; you could mix with Bootleg Gin to create a Grayhouse; you could blend with Lavender Silk to take on more of the floral notes; or mix with Juicy Fruit to bring out all the fruitiness.
All our fragrances are designed to be used in soaps, candles, skincare and haircare.

Please note this fragrance does have prop 65 ingredients. We do our best to source the cleanest versions of fragrances but know that not all scents can be re-recreated without some of these crazy chemicals. Fragrances are particular that way. Even essential oils have Prop 65 ingredients in them as many are naturally occurring ingredients. We do try to be as transparent as possible when it comes to what is in our fragrances.
California Proposition 65 for products falling below safe harbor levels.
This formula does contain various 100% natural citrus derived essential oils, which may contain Myrcene, methyl eugenol, and furcoumarines all of which are on the Prop 65 list. We believe the volume in the end product falls below the safe harbor levels designated by Prop 65 and therefore this product does not have a Prop 65 warning. Please see our letter on Prop 65 warnings.
All Natural– this means that every ingredient used to create that specific aroma is natural. Does not mean they are all essential oils, just that every ingredient used is from a natural source. These fragrances will be more expensive, but true to everything else, you get what you pay for.
