Palo Santo is one of my favorite all-time essential oils. I am a true Oregonian in the way that I love being outside, in the woods, amongst the trees and mountains. Palo Santo essential oil, though not grown in Oregon, smells like Oregon to me. This oil has a great base note that blends well with other essential oils like cedarwood, ylang, holy basil, frankincense and rosemary. Use this oil in a diffuser, in a body or face cream, roll-on perfume, solid perfume, natural deodorant and more.
In South America is said that Palo Santo essential oil should be used to cleanse your home and body of bad energy and to bring good luck.
One of the prime uses of Palo Santo in South America is as a bug repellant. Try adding palo santo to a blend of lemongrass, cedar, rosemary and bergamot to create a great smelling bug repellant spray.
Palo Santo can be applied topically to help fight free radical damage- think anti-aging! The high level of antioxidants and phytochemicals help to combat oxidative stress to the body.
Use palo santo essential oil to help reduce inflammation. You can add an essential oil blend containing palo santo to a massage lotion or to a diffuser to reap the benefits, or consider creating a salve with CBD, palo santo and peppermint.
Diffusing palo santo not only helps reduce inflammation, but also helps to lower stress levels and to create a more centered atmosphere. Can be beneficial to those who suffer from chronic fatigue syndrome or emotional stress. Frankincense is another great oil to blend with palo santo in a diffuser blend as both a shown to greatly reduce stress and increase anxiety and insomnia. Try creating a massage oil using organic coconut oil and organic jojoba oil, with a blend of palo santo, frankincense and lavender or bergamot to apply when feeling stressed or overwhelmed.
