Note on fragrance names- There is no regulation on fragrance names with the FDA, and fragrance names do not represent any specific ingredient like essential oils do. You can call any fragrance whatever name you want to call it, so get imaginative with your fragrance names!
We have been asked for a Palo Santo fragrance for years so when Cierra Soaps closed and passed on all their scents to us, we decided to bring in their Palo Santo. This is a great option for soaps and candles if you like the natural aroma of Palo Santo but don’t want to pay for the Palo Santo Essential Oil. Does this Palo Santo Fragrance smell exactly like Palo Santo Essential Oil? No, but it is a nice, warm, floral, woodsy Palo Santo Fragrance blend that is your best option for a Palo Santo Fragrance.
If you are making skincare products and want the aromatherapy benefits of Palo Santo, I do suggest you go with the Palo Santo Essential Oil. If the price is too much for you, I would suggest a blend of the fragrance and the essential oil. That way you get the benefit of the essential oil with the aroma of Palo Santo.
Palo Santo Fragrance is warm and welcoming, with an incredibly woodsy base reminiscent of the essential oil but stronger and less expensive so it performs beautifully in your soaps and candles. The light and fruity notes of bergamot blend perfectly with the spicy clove and vetiver, then perfectly balanced out with a blend of tobacco, palo santo and amber. Palo Santo Fragrance in your diffuser, candles or wax melts will give your space that warm, cozy feeling of Palo Santo.
Palo Santo Fragrance sold at Shay and Company is perfect for candle makers, soap makers and cosmetic formulators. Finding a truly authentic smelling Palo Santo Fragrance is tricky. Most fragrances don’t carry the notes of Palo Santo Essential oil. This fragrance, though, is really pretty close to the essential oil. It has a beautiful, grounded elegance. The woodsy base is ideal for products where you want a warm, sophisticated and comforting woodsy scent.

Soap maker notes: tested at 6% in standard soap formula; no acceleration; no ricing; batter color is normal; finished bar is light tan.
Blends well with: Blend with Warm Vanilla Sugar or Vanilla Non-Discoloring to create a Vanilla Woods; blend with Sandalwood Vanilla to create a Palo Santo Sandalwood; blend with Amber Fragrance to create a Warm Amber Glow; blend with Lavender Essential oil, our fabulous Black Amber and Lavender to create a Lavender Woods; blend with White Tea Ginger to create a White Tea Spa Blend.

Less than 51% Naturally Derived– this means that these are a blend of natural and synthetic ingredients, but the natural is less than 51% of the formula. Some scents just cannot be created using natural ingredients. These are still very good ingredients; they just aren’t from nature.
California Prop 65
Please note this fragrance does have prop 65 ingredients. We do our best to source the cleanest versions of fragrances but know that not all scents can be re-recreated without some of these crazy chemicals. Fragrances are particular that way. Even essential oils have Prop 65 ingredients in them as many are naturally occurring ingredients. We do try to be as transparent as possible when it comes to what is in our fragrances.
California Proposition 65 for products falling below safe harbor levels.
This formula does contain 100% natural essential oils of which may contain myrcene, which is on the Prop 65 list. We believe the volume in the end product falls below the safe harbor levels designated by Prop 65 and therefore this product does not have a Prop 65 warning. Please see our letter on Prop 65 warnings.
Endocrine disrupting properties
Does not contain an endocrine disruptor (ED) in a concentration of ≥ 0.1%.
25-pound quantities are made to order with a 2-3 week lead-time.
Fragrances are sold in 1-ounce amber glass bottles, 4-ounce amber glass bottles, 8-ounce amber glass bottles, 16-ounce amber glass bottles, 5-pound aluminum bottles, 10-pound HDPE BPA-free jugs, and 25-pound sizes. 25 pound sizes may have a later ship date depending on stock on hand. Do not apply directly to skin. Most fragrance oils are not designed to be applied directly, rather they are designed to be mixed with a carrier oil such as our organic sunflower or organic jojoba oils. Always perform a small patch test when applying to skin.
Do not take internally unless you are licensed to apply them as such.
