Blood orange essential oil is similar to sweet orange, but blood orange is slightly sweeter with a rich citrus scent. This essential oil packs a powerful punch of skin and aromatherapy benefits.

When used in aromatherapy, blood orange essential oil can help to boost mood, increase feelings of happiness, and increase focus. Blood orange essential oil can be used in diffusers, roll-on oils, solid perfumes, shower steamers, bath bombs…any area where you would like to fill the room with scent. If you’re looking to create a brightening citrus blend, try blending blood orange essential oil with our sweet orange 10x essential oil, lemon essential oil and lime essential oil. This blend will be sure to brighten your space and your skin!

Blood orange essential oil, much like sweet orange essential oil and pink grapefruit essential oil, has a natural source of vitamin C. If you are creating a brightening facial oil serum or facial scrub, make sure to incorporate blood orange essential oil. Other powerful vitamin C carrier oils are organic sea buckthorn oil, organic rosehip seed oil, organic pomegranate seed oil and organic evening primrose oil.

Blood orange essential oil is an excellent bug repellant. Incorporate this in your home cleaning spray, along with citronella essential oil, lemongrass essential oil, star anise essential oil, and litsea essential oil. This smell would be so amazing!
