We have two wonderful versions of avocado oil for you. We offer both a double refined avocado and an organic, unrefined avocado oil.
Our unrefined organic avocado oil is dark green in color . Avocado oil is naturally a heavier oil, with high levels of emolliency. Avocado makes a great addition to natural body and face lotions, heavy creams, soaps and massage products.
Avocado oil will naturally vary from a light yellow to a heavy, dark green. This color variation is normal from batch to batch as it all depends on the color of the plant at the time of harvest.
Our Organic Avocado is produced in 2 places to the same specification. Both are sustainably produced.
South Africa:
Our material is sourced from Avocados in South Africa. The sustainable story is very much based around use of waste. The Avocados that are used are the rejects from the fruit/veg industry. It does not affect the quality of the oil however allows us to get the price point we require. The fruits we are using would otherwise be disposed of so there is a use for them. There is a scheme in place to employ the local habitants.
Ethiopia:
This is produced by a co-operative that is using local coffee farmers Avocado trees (that are used to shelter/shade their Coffee crop), the project is now actively using these trees to grow organic certified avocados to process and provide another revenue stream for these local farmers and their community.
Organic avocado oil is sold in 4-ounce, 8-ounce, 16-ounce, BPA-free half-gallon, BPA-free 1- gallon, BPA-free 5-gallon and 55-gallon sizes. Please email us directly for 55-gallon+ orders.
