Who Loves Aleppo Soap?

Welcome to cold pressed laurel berry oil! This oil is traditionally known for use in Aleppo style soaps, but it also has numerous skin care benefits!

Laurel Fruit (or laurel berry) cold pressed oil is dark green to brown in color with a lovely herbal, fruity aroma. This oil is temperature sensitive, so when it is cold it will be thicker. If your space in cold simply warm it up in gentle warm water bath and it will become liquid.

Laurel Berry oil is known for its antibacterial, anti-fungal, and skin soothing properties. Laurel berry is the key ingredient in making Aleppo soap. Traditional Aleppo recipes call for 12-35% Laurel Fruit/Berry oil. This is the laurel oil for that soap formula!

The other ingredients in traditional Aleppo Soap are olive oil (we recommend Organic Extra Virgin Olive as it will make a beautiful bar), and Lye. All of those which you can find with us! You can also use Bay Leaf essential oil to add scent.

Laurel Fruit oil can be a somewhat confusing ingredient to find because it has the same name and INCI as the essential oil. The essential oil, however, will not make Aleppo soap.

You can use Laurel Leaf essential oil to add scent to your soap bars, but it is not a substitute for laurel berry cold pressed oil.

We also carry Laurel Wax that you can use in the soap making process to create a harder bar, but it is not a substitute for Cold Pressed Laurel Berry Oil.

Cold pressed Laurel Berry Oil can be used in more than just Aleppo soapmaking.

This is a fantastic oil to be used in skincare formulas, especially ones targeting acneic skin, or for individuals experiencing eczema, psoriasis or fungal infections.

Cold Pressed Laurel Berry oil is also an excellent addition to shampoos and conditioner bars targeting dandruff and dermatitis suffers. The anti-fungal and antibacterial properties make this excellent for individuals with scalp issues. Traditionally Aleppo bars made with 40% or more laurel berry oil are used as shampoo bars. The higher the percentage of laurel berry the stronger the bar at combating bacteria.

Cold Pressed Laurel Berry Oil is sold in 1-once amber glass bottles with dropper, 4-ounce amber glass, 8-ounce amber glass, 16-ounce amber glass, HDPE half-gallon, 1- gallon HDPE jugs, 5-gallon buckets (40 pounds), and 55+gallon sizes. Please email us directly for 55-gallon+ orders.
