Illipe Butter falls in line with shea butter, cocoa butter, mango butter and kokum butter, but the one things those butters don’t have is the very cool feeling that Illipe Butter does. It is a distinctive, softer, velvet touch on the skin. This makes Illipe Butter an interesting pick for formulas such as eye creams, delicate face creams, creamy facial serums, lip butters/balms and cuticle creams.
Illipe Butter is also distinct because it has a higher percentage of stearic acid than most other butters. This means your finished product will retain its shape and viscosity. This is especially important when you are doing something like a whipped body butter. If you just whip pure shea butter it will retain the whipped looked for a while, but it is not as firm as butters that have higher stearic acid levels. Add in some Illipe Butter and that whipped butter all of a sudden has a little more life to it.
Illipe Butter is used not only for the viscosity building properties, and not just for the velvet feel, but also because it has high moisture retention properties on this hair and skin.
