New Candle Wax and Reminder on Shipping!

Direct Candle Supply Coconut/Soy/Paraffin Blend

white coconut soy candle wax beads

We have a new wax that is less expensive and super easy to use! Please welcome Direct Candle Coconut Soy Paraffin Blend.

A natural blend of Coconut Wax and Soy Wax, with a small percentage of food grade paraffin, that offers the best of both waxes and is ideal for high fragrance load candles. Has a smidge of food-grade paraffin to ensure a good burn and scent throw. Bead form. Sold in 5- pound, 25-pound and 40-pound bags.

This wax is made in a 100% solar powered facility. The soy is the same quality soy as used in GoldenWax and Cargill waxes; the coconut is sourced from El Salvador. All waxes are produced in El Salvador. Incredibly easy to use. Single pour waxes with beautiful, soft finish.

Characteristics:

  • Consistency: Buttery and Creamy
  • Appearance: Opaque and Off White
  • Best Uses: Container Candle
  • High fragrance load
  • Long and clean burn
  • Natural Wax Blend
  • Requires no additional additives (other than fragrance and dyes)

Directions for Use:

  • Melt wax to 190-200°F. If you heat and keep at 200° or higher for any extended amount of time you can scorch the wax and it will start turning cream/brown in color
  • Stir melting wax frequently to evenly distribute heat
  • Add fragrance/essential oil/dyes between 170-185°F. Stir well to allow the scent/essential oil/dye to completely blend in. I suggest a couple of minutes to ensure good dispersion. You can add 5-10% scent/essential oil. You will have to determine the desired amount based upon your scent/essential oil and how strong you want your candle to smell.
  • Pour between 140-150°F
  • Allow the finished candle/tart to stand for 72 hours before testing. Ideal cure time is 2 weeks.
  • For Tarts and Wax Melts, combine with 50% Paraffin Wax and 5 to 10% fragrance.

Holiday Shipping Reminder!

Just a reminder to maker sure and select the correct shipping options when placing your orders this December.

UPS Ground- this is their least expensive single carrier rate. Generally is right on time with very little delays.

Expedited services such as 3 day, 2nd day and next day- these are no longer guaranteed by UPS so if you select these and it takes longer to get to you than what it estimated, they won’t do anything about it. This is a UPS policy, not a Shay policy.

UPS SurePost- this is the slowest service and will be even slower during December. This is managed by both UPS and USPS. UPS delivers it to your local post office, then the post office sorts it and delivers it. You will save $2-$3 on your orders, but it can take up to 2 weeks to get to you and we cannot intervene once it has been picked up. You cannot do address changes and you cannot speed up the shipment. It is out of our hands and UPS and USPS don’t get involved. It is a great service if you don’t care when you get your product, but if you have a deadline, don’t pick UPS SurePost.
