Turmeric powder is an excellent natural colorant for all your soap, skin and bath products! Turmeric powder is Co2 extracted using alcohol as the solvent. This creates a vibrant yellow powder that does not smell like turmeric, so no worries trying to work around the smell!
Don’t stop at just colorant, though. Turmeric powder is an excellent skin brightening agent, so consider using this in your facial care masks. This would blend well with our Coconut Milk Powder and Bentonite Clay to make a great yellow mask! Or you can blend in some Activated Charcoal to make a detox mask, just know the color will be a little muddy looking, but fantastic on your skin!
Turmeric powder can also help reduce blemishes, fade scars, reduce pigmentation, brighten dark spots, and boost circulation (turmeric is very warming). Try adding small amounts of turmeric powder into your facial serums or creams and see the lovely hue it gives.
Turmeric powder has also shown to help thicken hair and stimulate hair growth! You can include turmeric powder into your shampoos to help prevent breakage and to help reduce thinning hair. You can also create an easy scalp and hair mask by blending Turmeric Powder and Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, then using that as a hair mask. This would also work great on the face, just know when you wash it off, it’ll be yellow for a minute. Use it as night then in the morning, your skin will be radiant and not yellow!
Looking to create a face scrub for your product line? Make sure to use clays and seed powders as they are powerful treatments and can be left on for 2-20 minutes, then scrubbed off to boost that power. Dry scrubs are an excellent way to get a scrub into the hands of your clients, without having to worry about a preservative. Just package in a bottle with a shaker lid or in a bottle with an easy pour opening, and then activate with water or an oil.
