Tea Tree oil has a very distinctive scent. It is native to Australia and has been used for generations as both a cleaning agent and to fight bacteria on the skin. Tea tree oil is a very common additive for acne fighting skin care products as it is very effective against bacteria.
Tea tree oil, due to its bacteria fighting capabilities, is also an excellent addition to shampoos and hair care products. You can blend a little tea tree into an hair and scalp oil base like organic castor oil, organic black seed oil, and Daikon radish seed extract. This blend will help to clear the scalp of dandruff and dry skin, along with cleaning the hair follicles and allowing for new hair growth.
Are you creating a line of natural pedicure and manicure products? Tea tree oil makes a great addition to the foot soaks and nail oils, as it helps to cleanse the skin and fight skin infections. Try doing a blend of tea tree, rosemary, eucalyptus and lavender.
Bug repellent- working to create a scent to get rid of bugs and makes your house smell great? Try a blend of tea tree, lemongrass, cedarwood and oregano. All great bug fighters and can be added as a diffuser blend or room spray.
