Roses are one of the most healing botanicals they have found. Rosehip seed oil is the way to get all those skin benefits of roses into your skin care, cosmetics and soap bars. Rosehips are the fruit of the rose plant that is left after the rose petals have fallen off.
Rosehip seed oil is an orange to red color, light, easy to blend into formulas, and has a very light oil scent. Virgin rosehip seed oil is from the first press of the seeds or the rose bush, so your products will have the highest level of anti-oxidants and plant benefits.
Rosehip seed oil is known for the higher levels of gamma linolenic acid (GLA) and linoleic acids, both of which are renowned for their benefits on acneic skin. Acne is believed to be caused by a lack of linolenic acid naturally, so applying formulations that are made with products with high amounts of naturally occurring linolenic acid (such as rosehip and extra virgin coconut oil) have shown dramatic improvements in acne. Pair up organic rosehip seed oil with some organic sea buckthorn oil and your products will have a powerful level of natural fatty acids.
In addition to the key fatty acids, rosehip seed oil also contains beta carotene (a natural source of vitamin a), vitamin C and vitamin E, all which are powerful anti-oxidants in the fight against free radicals.
Organic Rosehip Seed Oil is sold in 4-ounce, 8-ounce, 16-ounce, BPA-free half-gallon, BPA-free 1- gallon, and BPA-free 5-gallon sizes. Please email us directly for 5-gallon+ orders.
