Lumorol K 5229 RSPO
I rarely get super excited about semi-natural ingredients, but this one has really piqued my interest. Lumorol K 5229 RSPO is so cool. I love body oils. Love hydrating my skin right after washing to just get all that hydration goodness, but I know a lot of people really struggle with feeling like they (and their towel) will be oily and greasy. Welcome in Lumorol K 5229 RSPO!!
This is such a fun addition to the lineup. Simply make your favorite body oil blend (I would like here all the oils you could use but this email would be long and boring so here is a link to all our natural oils).
Add in Lumorol K with any one of our MCT/Fractionated Coconut Oils. Blend together, add any scent you want, and you will have a fabulous, hydrating AND foaming body oil. It is like magic watching this oil foam up.
I did some experimenting to give a little ratio of what you can make and here is what I found:
50% Lumorol K
35% Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
15% Organic MCT
***HUGE bubbles***
25% Lumorol K
50% Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
25% Organic MCT
**Still great bubbles, not as huge, more moisturizing
10% Lumorol K
10% Organic MCT
80% Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
**Excellent cleansing but still super hydrating
Regardless of the amount of lumorol k to oil, your end product will stay emulsified and look like an oil. The more oil content, the more hydrating. I found that 10% Lumorol was my favorite because I really love oil, but you can go as crazy as you’d like.
MCT is the key stabilizer and activator for Lumorol. The lipid profile seems to make it the most active, so I do suggest you make all your formulas using one of our three MCT versions. I love certified organic products so I used organic in my testing; you can use whatever oils you would like. It will not change the performance of the product.
Don’t limit yourself to just foaming body oils. Lumorol K can also be added into foaming body scrubs (sugar or salts with the foaming body oil). You can create foaming body bars. You can add to foaming body whips. Get crazy with your creations!
Ethylhexyl Palmitate
Another super fun product to our line up is Ethylhexyl Palmitate RSPO! We are really boosting our product line with a ton of functional ingredients and this is just the start.
Benefits: softening, smoothing, moisture barrier protection, dispersant of powder ingredients, solubilizer, stabilizer, silicone alternative
Suggest levels of usage: 2-50%; add in oil phase
Ethylhexyl Palmitate is a naturally derived ingredient, ideal for use in products designed to increase moisture, even and smooth out skin tone, and help with dry, damaged hair. Ethylhexyl Palmitate can help disperse powder ingredients into emulsified products (such as zinc or titanium in sunscreens). Ethylhexyl Palmitate also helps to stabilize oil/water emulsions, giving them good glide and skin feel, while also helping to retain moisture on the skin and hair.
When used in body care products, ethylhexyl palmitate is an emollient ester that gives great richness to the feel of your product. Consider including this is body lotions and creams, but also in foot scrubs, bath soaks, body oils, facial serums, eye creams, facial cleansing creams, and more. This is a great alternative to mineral oil.
This same great feel also makes it ideal to use in lip glosses. You can use our Lip Balm Base and add in Ethylhexyl Palmitate and Organic Broccoli Seed Oil, along with any of our flavors, to create a lip gloss!
