Organic high-Oleic safflower oil is considered one of the more stable vegetable oils. Organic Safflower oil can be used in anything from cooking to soap, candles, massage oils, personal care products and more. High-Oleic means that it has a high level of monounsaturated fats, with an oleic percentage of 73% or more. Organic high-oleic safflower oil is very stable, with a long shelf-life and an ability to withstand high temperatures. Safflower can be added in a cold or heated process of formulations without damaging the oil.

Organic HO Safflower is beneficial in all skin applications since it is a non-comedogenic oil. This means any skin type can use it, especially those with acneic sensitivities. Organic high oleic safflower helps to reduce redness and irritation in skin. You can incorporate organic HO safflower to help balance sebum production and create excellent hydration properties without oiliness.

Organic high oleic safflower can be used in both cold and hot process soaps. We do always recommend using high oleic versions, as less quality can make your soap bars go rancid faster. Soap bars made with organic high oleic safflower are softer on the skin, leaving less residue and keeping the pH more balanced. You can replace some or all of your olive oil with high oleic safflower oil, since olive oil has drastically gone up in price.

Organic high oleic safflower oil is a vegetable oil that can contribute similar body and texture to pomace olive oil. High-oleic safflower oil, which contains 81–85% oleic fatty acid, can be a functional equivalent to olive oil, which contains 80–82% oleic fatty acid. Oleic acid helps condition and soften skin, and contributes to a moisturizing lather. Soap made with safflower oil can also nourish the scalp and be good for hair.

Organic Safflower oils is light yellow in color, with almost no scent. Both our organic conventional versions of safflower oil are RBD, which means it has been refined to provide the cleanest, most stable form of oil.
