Our Lip Balm Base is made with certified organic ingredients and includes the lovely Cera Bellina Wax! Lip Balm Base can be used in pots or roll-up tubes.
Lip Balm Base is designed for you to be able to customize. As with all our bases, you can add up to 10% additional oils or butters (including flavor oils)and still have a solid enough base to maintain viscosity in jars or tubes. You can use the lip balm base as is, or you can add to it to create your own custom lip balm.
Directions for Use: Melt base to 165-175°F. Add in additional ingredients. Pour into containers and allow to cool.
About the ingredients:
Organic High Oleic Sunflower Oil: Extremely stable oil, high in naturally occurring oleic acid. Oleic acid helps to repair, balance and protect skin.
Cera Bellina Wax: Cera Bellina Wax is a modified beeswax designed to give incredible glide and texture in emulsified products. Cera Bellina wax can be used on everything from lip balms and oils to eye creams, face creams, lotion bars and color cosmetics.
Organic Shea Butter: Organic shea butter products retain their texture and hydrate skin very well; it provides natural UV protection; rich in oleic, stearic, palmitic, and linolenic acids. Exceptional at hydrating damaged skin and helping skin to boost its natural collagen production.
Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil: the most luscious of all the coconut oils, Organic Extra Virgin Coconut is creamy and smooth, and delivers high amounts of natural fatty acids, like linolenic acid, the natural anti-microbial and anti-bacterial properties, and its ability to penetrate the skin as a moisturizer without leaving you feeling heavy or greasy.
Vitamin E Oil: Vitamin E Oil helps to both hydrate the skin, and protect the formula.
Lip Balm Base is sold in 1-pound HDPE jars, 1 gallon BPA-free buckets, 5-gallon BPA-free buckets. Please email us directly for 55-gallon+orders.
Short Term Storage: Air tight container. Dark location. Cool room temperature.
Long Term Storage: Removing air from storage container will delay oxidation and rancidity (may need to place in a smaller container). Refrigeration can extend shelf life.
