Red Mandarin Essential Oil has a lovely sweet, tart with slightly floral aroma. Red Mandarin essential oil is used in products both for the scent, and because it has excellent skin cleansing and energizing benefits. Red Mandarin Essential oil is the sweetest of the mandarins.

Red Mandarin Essential Oil is often used in scent blends to help increase sweetness and fruit notes. Red Mandarin has a lovely citrus aroma with a light floral base note, making it excellent for kids products and bright citrus blends. Red Mandarin can be used in soaps so if you’re looking to create a strong citrus base, this would be an excellent addition.

Red Mandarin Essential Oil is often used in skincare products as it has an excellent skin cleansing effect. Red Mandarin has a naturally high limonene content making it very effective at cleansing skin and balance sebum production. Red Mandarin works to help decrease oily skin, and helps to balance dry skin. Red Mandarin is also not photosensitive so it is an excellent choice for sun protection and summer skincare products.

This same limonene content also makes it excellent for home cleansing products. You can incorporate this into a spray cleanser using isopropyl alcohol, vinegar and a small amount of decyl glucoside. Blend the red mandarin with lemongrass and eucalyptus for an uplifting home aroma!

Red Mandarin is well touted for its benefits as a mood booster. It has a bright, light scent and is used in many products to help raise energy levels, to decrease depressive symptoms, and to elevate mood. You can diffuse Red Mandarin on its own, or you can add it to a blend. These benefits also make it an excellent addition to products such as hand creams, body lotions and body washes. Imagine a shower steamer using Red Mandarin and a little Menthol! So delicious and elevating.
