Spirulina powder is a powerful plant powder that can do everything from detoxify to deodorize to help increase hair growth! Spirulina powder is dark green in color, with a slight ocean aroma.
Spirulina powder is an ingredient I love to incorporate into skincare products. There are so many minerals in spirulina it is really impossible to summarize them in a product blurb. Vitamin and mineral rich, spirulina helps detoxify and deodorize, plus it boosts natural radiance, helps fight acne, and reduces inflammation and swelling.
If you have a bath care line, such as bath bombs or bath soaks, make sure you are including Spirulina powder. Yes, it will make your products green, but all things naturally colored in nature are awesome! Be sure to test your samples first so you don’t turn anyone’s bathtub green! To boost the absorption of spirulina in your bath products, make sure to include our fabulous Magnesium Bath Flakes! This is the best way to absorb magnesium.
Facial masks part of your skincare line? Well, hope you have a green one! Spirulina’s minerals are great for all skin types, and really helps those suffering from acenic skin and hyperpigmentation. Adding spirulina powder to a facial make will help balance sebum production, and it will help brighten the skin.
Spirulina is also used in hair care formulas to help promote hair growth and reduce hair thinning. You can add spirulina in your shampoos (both liquid and bars), again, just test so you don’t give anyone a die-job. Spirulina is really a great dry scalp treatment, like a scrub or mask. Blend it with ingredients such as Coconut Milk Powder and Bentonite Clay to make a detox and hydration pack.
Looking to create a face scrub for your product line? Make sure to use clays and seed powders as they are powerful treatments and can be left on for 2-20 minutes, then scrubbed off to boost that power. Dry scrubs are an excellent way to get a scrub into the hands of your clients, without having to worry about a preservative. Just package in a bottle with a shaker lid or in a bottle with an easy pour opening, and then activate with water or an oil.
