Hydrolats (hydrosols) are the steam/condensation that is created during the process of making essential oils. Hydrolats/hydrosols do smell like the essential oil they are derived from, but they are not nearly as strong as an essential oil. Hydrolats/hydrosols are excellent to use as tonics, face sprays, body sprays, perfume bases, and as carriers for skincare products in place of using just water. They will impart a vary faint smell to your products, but nothing like adding the essential oil. These cannot be used in place of essential oils or fragrances with the expectation that your products will smell the same.

Our organic hydrosols are the best hydrosols for natural skincare. They are not diluted; they do not have water or preservative added. They are 100% pure plant hydrosols.

Having said all that, hydrolats/hydrosols are the BEST way to get plant bio-actives into your products without having the strong smells of the essential oils.

Organic Neroli Hydrosol is so beautiful it can be used just on its own! Lovely, soft citrus aroma and imparts a relaxing feeling. Neroli and orange are not the same, and the two hydrosols have very different aromas. Neroli is more of a bitter orange.

Neroli can be used in formulas to help boost hydration in the skin, sooth red, inflamed skin, and to help soften skin and fine lines. Using Organic Neroli Hydrosol in your formulas will impart all these benefits without the strong smell of Neroli Essential Oil. Organic Neroli Hydrosol would make an ideal addition to any skincare formula targeting aging or sun damaged skin. Neroli has very strong softening and calming properties.

Neroli also has a high level of naturally occurring vitamin c, so consider adding this to a Vitamin C Cream or Serum. Replace the water in your emulsified formulas with Organic Neroli Hydrosol and you can factor that as part of your organic percentage, put the water then becomes an active ingredient instead of just water.

You can mix any of our organic botanical hydrosols with essential oils to make a room spray, also. There are two ways:

• Just use the hydrosol and some essential oils and advise your customers that they will need to shake it each time before use as the essential oils will separate out OR
• Blend your essential oils with Polysorbate 80 (1 to 1 ratio), then add into your organic plant hydrosols. The polysorbate 80 works as an emulsifier to keep the oils suspended and it is 100% plant based!

Organic Neroli Hydrosol has a soft, bitter orange aroma.

Due to the soft smell profile of hydrolats/hydrosols you can use just about any of these with other essential oils.

Short Term Storage: Air tight container. Dark location. Cool room temperature.

Long Term Storage: Removing air from storage container will delay oxidation and rancidity (may need to place in a smaller container). Refrigeration can extend shelf life.
