Mimosa wax is the soft wax that is separated from the absolute during the steam distillation process. Floral waxes are excellent options to pure essential oils, as they carry the same plant properties and befits, but with a somewhat lesser price point.
To use floral waxes, melt them at a low temperature just until liquid. Add to your liquid phase at 1-10%, then proceed as normal. The liquid will keep the floral wax from solidifying in your product.
Floral waxes are excellent to use in soaps, shampoo bars, conditioner bars, lip balms, body creams, natural sunscreens, solid perfumes, lotions, balms, and more. Anything you use an essential oil or fragrance in, you can use the floral waxes.
Mimosa essential oil has a lovely floral, honey, earthy scent and that alone makes it fun to add to any skincare product. Mimosa has strong anti-oxidant properties, lending it to be excellent in anti-aging products. It is said that mimosa can help create softer, smoother skin, and the high level of anti-oxidants helps to combat appearance of wrinkles.
Mimosa wax has a lovely scent and is a great addition to both feminine and masculine scent blends. Try blending it with Ylang Ylang, Bergamot, and Blood Orange for a sweet citrus-floral blend; or mix with Tobacco Absolute and Cypress for a lovely earthy, masculine scent.
Floral waxes are sold in 1/4 pound, ½ pound, 1 pound and 5 pound sizes. For orders larger than 25-pounds, please email us at orders@shayandcompany.com.
Do not apply directly to skin. Most essential oils are not designed to be applied directly, rather they are designed to be mixed with a carrier oil such as our organic sunflower or organic jojoba oils. Always perform a small patch test when applying to skin.
Do not take internally unless you are licensed to apply them as such.
