I’m sure you’ve heard of Manuka honey, and now you can reap the anti-bacterial benefits of Manuka Essential Oil! Manuka Essential oil has a high level of anti-bacterial and anti-microbial properties, reduces inflammation, helps to firm the skin, and can help in wound healing.
Manuka oil is rated based on its percentage of beta triketones. The higher the percentage, the more pure and more powerful the Manuka. Our Manuka Oil is 20-25% beta triketones. 30% is the highest ever, so this one is pretty powerful!
Tea Tree oil is what everyone thinks of when treating skin disorders such as athlete’s foot or acne, but tea tree is very harsh on the skin and I don’t recommend using it on the face. It is an excellent treatment for yeast infections on the feet and scalp but can leave pitting and scarring when used on more delicate skin. Manuka Essential Oil is an excellent alternative to Tea Tree essential oil. You can use it in place of tea tree or along side to enhance the benefits.
Manuka Essential oil is said to help reduce the effects of UV-B damage. This makes it an excellent oil to use in natural sunscreens, and a key ingredient for after sun care products. Try blending Organic Babassu Oil, Organic Castor Oil, Sunflower Wax, Zinc Oxide, Titanium Oxide, Organic Black Seed Oil, Manuka Essential Oil, Carrot Seed Essential Oil, and Organic Lavender Essential Oil. Such a lovely smell and full of super powered plants!
Manuka essential oil is said to have even more powerful antibacterial benefits than tea tree essential oil, which makes it an excellent ingredient for wound salves and acne products. Manuka Essential Oil is also much more pleasant smelling than tea tree essential oil. It has a woodsy, herbal slightly floral scent, which makes it much tolerable when used on facial care products.
Manuka essential oil is also an excellent addition to your natural deodorants! The antibacterial properties in Manuka Oil help to combat bacteria filled sweat. Manuka blends so well with many essential oils, too, so the scent combinations are never ending. When using Manuka on delicate skin, start at 0.03 to 0.05%. It is very effective and you don’t want to irritate underarm skin. Try blending Coconut 110, Tapioca Starch or Arrowroot Powder, Virgin Shea Butter, a little Fractionated Coconut Oil, with a blend of essential oils including Manuka for a basic natural deodorant. We also have many floral waxes that make an excellent addition to natural deodorants, adding stability to the formula and a beautiful scent without the super pricey price tag of the pure essential oils.
Are shampoo and conditioner bars your new project? Well, include Manuka Oil in there! The antibacterial and soothing properties help to calm irritated scalps, and helps to prevent dandruff. We have several ingredients that are excellent for hair care, including Panthenol, Hydrolyzed Hemp and Rice Proteins, the surfactants and conditioning agents you need, plus so many exotic oils! Manuka is just another one to add in. Plus we have a melt-and-pour shampoo base so you don’t even have to do the chemistry part!
Manuka Oil blends well with lavender, rose, copaiba, tea tree, eucalyptus, menthol, jasmine, bergamot, citronella, ravensara, rhododendron, orange, ylang.
