Juniper berry essential oil is an excellent oil to add that outdoorsy, fresh, tree scent to any of your products.

Juniper berry essential oil is made from steam distilling dried juniper berries. It has a slightly sweet, woodsy smell and blends well with a variety of essential oils. Juniper berry essential oil works great in soaps and household cleansers and can even burn in a candle!

One of my favorite new blends to use in the diffuser here at the office is juniper essential oil and bergamot essential oil. The woodsy base of the juniper, combined with the clean, fresh smell of bergamot just makes the office smell clean and inviting.

Juniper essential oil also blends well with lavender essential oil and rosemary essential oil. This makes a great household cleanser or laundry detergent. For the cleanser, try blending some of our foaming shower gel, a little of our isopropyl alcohol, and organic witch hazel, then add in your essential oil blend. You can make this thinner and put it in a spray bottle or make it thicker and use as a dish soap or foaming cleanser.

Due to its strong antibacterial properties, juniper berry essential oil is a great addition to any shampoo bar or soap bar that targets acneic skin or conditions such as athlete’s foot or dandruff. Blend the juniper berry essential oil with a small amount of tea tree essential oil, spearmint essential oil and organic lemongrass essential oil to create an effective and super clean smelling shampoo bar! How good would that make your hair smell?!?!

Juniper berry essential oil has been said to help reduce feelings of anxiety. Try blending juniper berry essential oil, sandalwood essential oil and rose essential oil to make a soothing blend, suitable for everywhere from your office to your car to your living room.
