Welcome to the serene and peaceful world of Hinoki essential oil! This one is a special one that has a calming, serene aroma of evergreen and light citrus, lemon notes.
Hinoki essential oil is primarily known for its grounding effects, creating a sense of calm and relaxation. Hinoki is high in natural phytoncides, which are plant based antimicrobial compounds. If you’ve heard of forest bathing, this is what you are trying to get from it. Hinoki essential oil works topically as an antibacterial.
The aroma of Hinoki elicits feelings of relaxation and calming, which makes it an excellent addition to massage products and diffuser blends. Hinoki is a more expensive essential oil so you would blend it with other oils, or you would specialize your product for face and heat points throughout the body. Heat points will activate the aroma without applying it all over the body.
Hinoki essential oil is also an excellent addition to bathing oils and bath soaks. To capitalize on the aromatherapy benefits of hinoki you could blend with ho wood, cypress and cedarwood to create a warm, soothing blend that still elevates hinoki and doesn’t break the bank.
Hinoki essential oil helps to improve hair growth by cleansing the scalp and decreasing hair loss. You can add Hinoki to your shampoo and conditioner products, or you can create a scalp treatment to help prevent hair loss and incorporate other essential oils such as jasmine, cypress and frankincense to cleanse and rejuvenate hair strands.
Hinoki is also superb just on its own and would make a fantastic spray or solid perfume.
Hinoki Essential Oil blends well with bergamot, cedarwood, cistus, clary sage, cypress, fir, ginger root, jasmine, lavender, lemon, myrrh, neroli, sweet orange, rose, rosemary, tangerine, vetiver, ylang.
Essential oils are sold in 0.5-ounce amber glass, 1-ounce amber glass with dropper, 4-ounce amber glass, 8-ounce amber glass, 16-ounce amber glass, 5-pound and 10-pound sizes. For 25-pounds or larger, please email us at orders@shayandcompany.com.
Do not apply directly to skin. Most essential oils are not designed to be applied directly, rather they are designed to be mixed with a carrier oil such as our organic sunflower or organic jojoba oils. Always perform a small patch test when applying to skin.
Do not take internally unless you are licensed to apply them as such.
