Copaiba EO is derived from the steam distillation process of the copaiba resin. Copaiba trees grow in South and Central America.
Copaiba is an essential oil that can be taken internally, and it is an excellent addition to oil pulling blends and tooth powders. Copaiba helps to combat bacteria and helps reduce inflammation, both of which help promote proper dental care.
Copaiba essential oil use in topical applications has shown increased pain relief benefits in various studies. When making your next CBD/THC salve, or muscle rub, try blending menthol, cornmint, wintergreen, black pepper, turmeric and copaiba to boost those soothing benefits.
Another great anti-inflammatory benefits of copaiba essential oil is the reduction in blemishes and redness. Try adding a little copaiba to your next facial oil serum, mask or scrub. Other essential oils that help reduce blemishes and redness are Blue Tansy, Clary Sage, Turmeric, Black Pepper, Rosemary and Organic Lavender.
Copaiba essential oil has a slightly sweet, woody smell. Copaiba pairs well with bright scents like spruce, cedar, rosemary, rose, lemon, orange, clary sage, vanilla, and ylang. My new favorite diffuser blend in the office is copaiba, cocoa, spearmint, and cedar. Smells like s’mores in the forest.
