Organic Comfrey is an excellent natural source of allantoin! Allantoin is used to help promote new skin regeneration and boosts collagen production. Allantoin also helps to soften skin acting as a natural emollient. Allantoin also helps to soften the outer keratin layer, allowing the skin to appear more hydrated and to help remove dead skin cells bringing newer, fresher skin to the surface.

This same softening effect makes Organic Comfrey Extract and excellent addition to your haircare products. Adding in Organic Comfrey Extract can help sooth irritated scalps and help boost shine and smoothness in hair strands. You can use the dried Organic Comfrey to make a tea and treat the hair with that tea.

Organic Comfrey is has natural anti-inflammatory properties making it excellent for skincare to help reduce swelling, redness, and dry skin. Adding Organic Comfrey to your skin and hair care products can help for applications such as eczema, psoriasis, dandruff, and dermatitis.

If you haven’t seen them, facial steaming products are dried ingredients that a customer sprinkles into hot, steamy water in a bowl. Then they place their face directly over the bowl and allow their skin and face to absorb the fragrant steam. Oftentimes it is recommended to put a towel draped over the back of the head to keep the steam from escaping. Adding ingredients such as Organic Arnica, Organic Calendula, Organic Lavender Buds, Organic Comfrey, and Organic Aloe would make a powerful herbal blend. You can also use this Organic Comfrey Leaf to create your own tinctures. Tinctures can be made using a variety of bases, such as organic witch hazel, glycerin or an organic carrier oil.
