Cera Bellina Wax is a modified beeswax designed to give incredible glide and texture in emulsified products. Cera Bellina wax can be used on everything from lip balms and oils, to eye creams, face creams, lotion bars and color cosmetics.

Cera Bellina is derived by separating out the fatty acids from natural beeswax and converting them to polyglycerol esters. This increases the ability for the wax to emulsify with water. Using ester products instead of beeswax means your finished product will have a silkier, smoother, more gel-like texture, rather than a stiff texture that beeswax can sometimes impart in formulas. When used with color products, the Cera Bellina helps to more evenly disperse the color materials, making a more uniform color throughout the product.

Cera Belllina can be used as an co-emulsifier in lotions and creams. Start at 5% and work up, depending on the viscosity of your final product. Cera Bellina does create a very silky skin feel in finished products. If you are replacing a different wax (such as traditional beeswax or sunflower wax), you can use a 1:1 replacement.

If you have a body butter product where you’ve been using shea butter or mango butter and the finished product gets a little granule, Cera Bellina can help prevent that. Start at 2% of your total formula.

Cera Bellina can also help stabilize pumpable lotions and serums.

Sort Term Storage: Air tight container. Dark location. Cool room temperature.

Long Term Storage: Removing air from storage container will delay oxidation and rancidity (may need to place in a smaller container). Refrigeration can extend shelf life.
