Camellia oil is also known as green tea oil (not the same as macha). Camellia oil is amber in color with a very slight oil scent. Green tea oil is light on the skin, so it is ideal for skin care and body care formulations.

Organic Camellia oil is high in naturally occurring anti-oxidants and can be used in anything from cooking, to soaps, to body care products. Organic camellia oil is highly moisturizing and quick absorbing, so it does not leave the skin feeling oily or greasy. This makes it an excellent addition to facial lotions, serums and oils.

The high levels of anti-oxidants in organic camellia oil make it a key proponent in reducing appearance of scars, moisturizing, reducing appearance of fine lines, and to help protect skin from UV rays. Organic camellia oil, due to its high level of moisture but not being greasy, is a great ingredient to use in products for psoriasis and eczema. Add this in with some Daikon Radish seed extract, Meadowfoam seed oil, Organic Baobab oil, Organic Babassu Oil and Organic Virgin Shea butter and you’ll have a power-packed skin treatment cream.

Organic Camellia Seed Oil also makes a great addition to hair care formulas, including shampoo and conditioner bars. The hydration level helps to soothe damaged hair, helps to soften wiry hair, and can help cleanse the scalp without leaving it greasy. Some other great hair oils are Organic Argan Oil, Olive Oil Squalane, Daikon Radish Seed Extract, Meadowfoam Seed Oil, Organic Extra Virgin Olive and Organic Jojoba oil.

Camellia oil helps produce high lather in soap and shampoo bars. You can add anywhere from 2-10% to help boost foamability and add moisture to your bars. Organic Camellia Oil is rich in palmitic, oleic and linoleic fatty acids.

Short Term Storage: Air tight container. Dark location. Cool room temperature.

Long Term Storage: Removing air from storage container will delay oxidation and rancidity (may need to place in a smaller container). Refrigeration can extend shelf life.
