Calendula oil is a beautiful oil with natural antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties, plus it can help boost skin’s natural collagen production, help with scalp issues, it has natural sun protection properties and so much more. Our Calendula oil is composed of Organic High Oleic Sunflower Oil and Organic Calendula Flowers. The finished oil is a beautiful golden color.
Calendula oil can be used on its own or you can add it to your salves, soap bars, body lotions, facial oils, body oils, foot treatments, lip balms and more. Calendula flowers (aka Marigolds) are bright orange in color. This means calendulas are full of natural anti-oxidants. When used in topical applications, these natural plant-based anti-oxidants can help to fight free radicals and reduce skin inflammation. This helps decrease redness and dark spots.
Are you adding hair care products to your line? Add in that Calendula Oil! Using Calendula Oil, or products containing Calendula Oil, on your scalp and hair has said to help add moisture to the hair follicles, and to help fight the bacteria that causes dandruff. Try creating a Scalp Treatment blending Calendula Oil, Daikon Seed Extract, dl-Panthenol, Hydrolyzed Rice Protein, and Sesame Oil, with a blend of Turmeric, Black Pepper and Lemon Essential Oils. This will not only help cleanse and moisturize the scalp, but can help strengthen hair follicles and increase hair volume.
Calendula Oil also makes a great addition to your natural sun screen. Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide have both been approved by the FDA for use in SPF products. Calendula oil is said to have a natural SPF rating of 14. You cannot use just Calendula Oil and call it SPF14, but you can add Calendula Oil into your formula and market the natural sun protection properties.
Calendula Oil is sold in 4-ounce, 8-ounce, 16-ounce, half-gallon, 1- gallon, 5-gallon and 55-gallon sizes. Please email us directly for 55-gallon+ orders.
